As part of the Khartoum Gold and Metals Company’s (Sabaik) commitment to providing shareholders and customers with the facts, we would like to inform you that, following the armed forces’ control of Khartoum and its liberation from the Rapid Support Forces, a technical team from the company was assigned to visit the headquarters and assess the situation there. The initial findings were as follows:

1. Army forces were surrounding the company’s headquarters.

2. The armed forces found a quantity of advanced weapons, ammunition, and shells in the headquarters’ basement.

3. The warehouses and central safe were exposed to random looting and vandalism.

4. The glass and a number of employee offices were broken, in addition to extensive damage to the central laboratory.

While the company strongly condemns the exploitation of its civilian headquarters and its conversion into a weapons depot and military residence, it affirms that it will take all necessary legal measures to hold accountable those responsible for this unacceptable behavior.

The company also extends its thanks and appreciation to the Sudanese Armed Forces for their high-level and responsible treatment, their cooperation with the company’s team, and their commitment to ensuring the team’s safety and security while carrying out their mission.
